For Assassins Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok I had to create a few procedural rules to be used in the wider world.
These consist of a terrain material it's automatic adjustment on slopes/rocks/other and foliage scatter on these materials. Trees bushes and low foliage like grass and other, creating a consistent natural biome.
This is a combination of a couple of rules , all different variations of marshes and wetlands for our more wet lowland regions.
